The Difference Between Eccentric and Crackpot

What is the difference between being an eccentric and a crackpot?
About 1 Billion dollars!

One of the reasons I have been reluctant to publicise TKoT is for fear of being regarded as a crackpot. Not so much for myself, but because there is little to substantiate TKoT at the moment and, as one never gets a second chance to make a first impression, I would not like a large number of people to think that TKoT was a worthless scheme.

At the moment TKoT is basically a “one man band”. And I, and TKoT through me, am going be considered at best an eccentric and at worst a complete crackpot.

However sometimes poor people, if they are true to themselves and strong enough, become eccentrics(Emperor Norton I). And sometimes “crackpots” become rich(Erich von Däniken).

The Kingdom of Tycho is Real.

One of the great advantages of The Kingdom of Tycho(TKoT) over other space settlement projects is that TKoT is real and it exists now.

It is not some scheme that will persuade the government to fund space settlement, or a private venture that in the future will build a moon base, or a non-profit organization that will terraform Mars.

It is a real country that really exists in the here and now and you can join with us and help build mankind’s future in space now.

The Kingdom of Tycho is Open for Business

I founded The Kingdom of Tycho(TKoT) in February  2001, that is nearly 7 years ago as write this. And in that time I have not progressed the development of The Kingdom as much as I would have envisioned when I founded the country. I have had lots of plans and ideas, but have not acted on them. But the believe that TKoT is a good idea has never left me, and thoughts of the Kingdom and its development are often on my mind.

The main problem that I have had is that I have wanted to develop my personal career and business ideas in order to finance the development of TKoT. I especially never wanted the Kingdom to look like it was just a money making scheme, or even a fraud. In the old countr(Ireland) we have a saying: “He who pays the piper, calls the tune”) That is the person who controls the purse strings controls the whole project. I wanted to be in a secure financial situation so that I could base my decisions on the development of the Kingdom on what I thought was best for the Kingdom and not on short term monetary needs.

However, having realised that becoming a self-made-multi-Billionaire is harder than I thought I have decided that from this day on wards that TKoT will become a money making scheme. The Kingdom of Tycho will pay its own way in the universe. Because if it doesn’t then it will never make any progress waiting for me to become rich enough to fund it as a hobby.
